The second phase to enhance and beautify the cemetery was the removal of a decades old, rusted-out, dangerous fire escape.

It took many months to obtain an Arlington County Building permit for the removal and only after a personal visit from the head of permits and his staff was approval granted.

The fire escape was removed over three days at a cost of $700.00.  The cross was made by us and installed along with a new fire resistant steel door and interior sealing of the old exterior door.

The project was completed well under budget, was inspected by the County, passed and closed in July 2023.
